Turn The Holiday Season Upside Down

This Thanksgiving and Christmas season we have a great opportunity to impact people’s lives and intentionally build relationships through individuals, families and groups in the Hope Hill Church community coming together to adopt families in need to meet their holiday needs. Family Adoption is an outreach ministry that partners with our church families and the community to help families in need at Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Each year many families are touched in a personal way, either by adopting a family for Christmas or by being adopted. Our desire is connect people to people – not just their needs.

How Can I Get Involved?

1. Contact the Family Adoption Lead to request a family.

Email the Family Adoption Lead, Michelle at h2go@hopehillchurch.org
** If Adopting a family by your self seems a little overwhelming, you don’t have to do it alone, partner with another family or two to adopt a family together.

2. Receive your family packet

This packet will contain the details about your adopted family, including the number of people in the family and their contact information.

3. Contact Your Family

It’s important to contact your adopted family to fully understand their specific needs for the holiday season, get to know the family and set up time(s) to meet if you are providing Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner

4. Gather the Needed Items

Get together the needed food and gift items for your family, this may look different for each adopted family.
Keep in mind this year toys have been donated that will be available for you to provide for your family as well.

5. Meet with the family to provide the needed support

a. Thanksgiving Dinner (in needed)
b. Christmas Presents at the Birthday Party for Jesus
c. Christmas Dinner (if needed)

 6. Follow up with your Adopted Family and Pray for them

Adopting a family is not meant to be a one time interaction to meet the physical needs of a family.  We hope that we will be able to foster ongoing relationships with our adopted families, that we would be able to support them in prayer and model the love of Christ.

Will you help a family in need by adopting them this year?

Thank you for your heart and for being willing to serve and meet the needs of these kids and families during a time when they may be struggling or feeling down. We pray that you are blessed through this event as much as they will be.
