What is Prayer?

Prayer is ongoing communication with God that involves both listening and speaking. We experience the need for prayer daily and for several reasons. In our daily lives we can be assured through scripture that what ever our circumstances or needs that God is attentive to people that seek Him through prayer.

We believe in the power of prayer and desire to be a church devoted to prayer. As we pray, we grow in our personal relationship with God. God has called us to partner with Him through intercession to know His heart, His will, and His purposes for our lives, families, church, city, nation, and the world.

God wants you to grow wherever you are in your personal prayer life.

PRAYER REQUEST

NEED PRAYER? LET US KNOW!

There are times when life is overwhelming, when all we have is questions. In those moments, hope can feel far away. The great thing about prayer is that it shifts our perspective toward the One who stands ready to listen. No matter what you’re facing, we’d love to pray with you!

Prayer Teams

Hope Hill Prayer has many opportunities for you to get involved, including the prayer teams listed below.

Prayer Email Team
Hope Hill receives prayer requests from our members via the website, weekly response cards, phone calls, and email. Team members receive a weekly email containing Prayer Requests submitted for that week. Our Prayer Email Team commits to praying for these needs on a daily or weekly basis. You must be a Hope Hill Member to join the Prayer Email Team.

Sunday Prayer Team
Each Sunday, this team stands at the back of the worship centers at the end of our services to pray with individuals and families. These teams also pray for our pastor, worship teams, and our other ministries.

A Model For Prayer

Praying is a way to express our trust in God and is therefore a way our trust is increased and our faith is deepened. Developing a consistent and vibrant prayer life is important to our growth as a disciple of Christ. Start by committing 15 minutes each day to prayer. The CHAT model is a simple way to structure your time.

Confess

Ask God for forgiveness for the sin you’ve committed against him and others. Pray for the desire and willingness to follow Christ in full obedience.

Honor

As you read the Scripture praise God for who he is and the attributes of his character.

Ask

Ask God to give you the desires of his heart as you pray for your needs and the needs of others.

Thank

Spend time thanking God for his faithfulness in your life and in the lives of others.
