Bless - Begin with Prayer

As followers of Jesus, we take seriously his command to love our neighbors. The command is easy to remember: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But practically speaking, how do we love our neighbors and help them connect with Jesus? Enter the BLESS Practices. The BLESS Practices are a series of practical ways to begin loving and serving your neighbors, friends, co-workers, or relatives who don’t have a relationship with Jesus. Together, the steps form an acronym for the word "BLESS”. * B - Begin with prayer: Acknowledge God's power and ask for wisdom and guidance in reaching out to others. * L - Listen with care: Engage authentically with people, paying attention to their stories, joys, and needs, which fosters trust and willingness to hear in return. * E - Eat together: Share meals and life with others, a practice rooted in Jesus' interactions, which creates deeper, lasting connections. * S - Serve with love: Respond to the needs you've heard by serving others, imitating Jesus' example of service over being served. * S - Share a story: Take the opportunity to share your personal testimony about how Jesus has transformed your life and the world.
