1 Corinthians 3.18-19
Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you thinks that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is folly with God.

“With the goodness of God to desire our highest welfare, the wisdom of God to plan it, and the power of God to achieve it, what do we lack?  Surely we are the most favored of all creatures.” – A.W. Tozer

We think we can help ourselves become better people. There are self-help books to make us more successful or more spiritual, but the fact is we cannot make ourselves truly better in the eyes of God on our own. We must rely on the wisdom of God to do that, and it is going to take a lot of work. A lifetime’s worth. Take a moment to rest in the wisdom of God and know that he has alone has the power to make you a better person. Prayerfully consider what areas of your life need the wisdom of God to intervene and bring healing and strength.
