Week 3 : God’s Truth

Tuesday

Call to Prayer

God’s desire is for all of humanity to have an intimate relationship with Him.  We are able to know God through his Son, Jesus Christ.  We engage in a relationship with God through studying the Scriptures and allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal God’s love, truth and compassion, which are found in Christ Jesus.

Spend a few moments in prayer and silence preparing your heart to receive from the Holy Spirit.

Psalm & Scripture

Psalm 86:11-13 (NLT)

Teach me your ways, O LORD,
that I may live according to your truth!
Grant me purity of heart,
so that I may honor you.
With all my heart I will praise you, O Lord my God.
I will give glory to your name forever,
for your love for me is very great.
You have rescued me from the depths of death.

Isaiah 45:18-19 (NLT)

For the Lord is God,
and he created the heavens and earth
and put everything in place.
He made the world to be lived in,
not to be a place of empty chaos.
“I am the Lord,” he says,
“and there is no other.
I publicly proclaim bold promises.
I do not whisper obscurities in some dark corner.
I would not have told the people of Israel to seek me
if I could not be found.
I, the Lord, speak only what is true
and declare only what is right.

Time of Reflection

Praise God that his truth is a firm foundation for our lives and his Kingdom.

Reflect on how God has delivered you from sin or circumstances recently. Praise God for delivering you.

Pray that you would walk in God’s truth today.

Missional Moment

Sometimes we act and people peg us as being high and mighty and don’t need inspiration from others.  Call someone who doesn’t know Christ and encourage them today.  Let them know they inspire you or that you appreciate their heart.

Community Prayer

Pray that the volunteers at Hope Hill who help with the service each week would find joy in the work God has given them to do.
