I’m writing to invite you to the Hope Hill Church 4th Anniversary and Baptism Celebration, to be held Sunday, February 15, at a special 10:30 a.m. worship service.
Think of all we have to celebrate; all that we have accomplished with God’s blessing. We have Lived Love and built a well through World Vision. We have had our eyes opened to the sorrow of human trafficking and have seen how Love Will Save the Day through the work of International Justice Mission. We have seen that Love Costs Everything and helped to care for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Cuba and Pakistan. Our journey continues in 2015 as we experience what Love Does.
Love is not just a feeling or an emotion. Love does not just sit there. Love Does: it is a choice and it is an action, and it requires preparation.
This year, I feel called by God to take three major steps toward carrying out the purpose we have all been called to: “glorify God, transform lives and impact the world through the gospel of Jesus Christ.”
1) Glorify God by increasing our stewardship – As we work together to be the hands and feet of Jesus, we see the need to pull together our resources.
2) Transform Lives by hiring additional staff – As we live out the gospel and build relationships with more and more families, the church continues to grow. We see the need to hire additional staff to help with relational discipleship and a growing youth ministry.
3) Impact the World through the gospel of Jesus Christ by expanding our outreach – As God leads us to become more and more involved within our local community, we see the need to become a true Hope House to those with spiritual and physical needs.
I am asking you to help us take these steps by participating in a special celebratory offering on February 15, our anniversary. Our goal is to bring in $30,000 in one day. I am asking you to make a sacrifice. We can do a few great things on our own, but we can do so much more for God together! This is another opportunity to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves.
Before we gather to celebrate all God has done and will do through Hope Hill Church, here’s what I am asking you to do:
1. Pray and ask God how He wants you to intentionally respond to this year’s Love Does theme.
2. Decide what sacrifices and changes need to be made to accomplish what God is calling you to do.
3. Return your special Love Does offering using one of the gift options below.
